Singapore Mom Bloggers (SMB)

Tuesday, 15 May 2012

Today I met a group of wonderful ladies... an eclectic mix of full-time working mums, part-time working mums, work at home mums and stay at home mums. We come from different backgrounds and professions, but we share a common objective. We aim to give our children the best in a loving home - and we hope to impart values necessary for them to survive in the world.

We came together as like-minded individuals. We laughed, shared and discussed.
We appreciate each other's experiences.
Motherhood has a very humanizing effect.

Standing, from left to right:
Sher-Li Liew of Mums@Work (Singapore), Adora Tan of  The GingerBread Mum, Adeline Oon of The Accidental Mom Blogger and We Snap!, Madeline Heng of Mad Psych Mum, June Yong of Mama Wear Papa Shirt, Ruth Wong of Mommy Cafe, Susan Koh of A Juggling Mom, Dominique Goh of Dominique's Desk, Liza Poh of Twisted Cookie.

Seated, from left to right:
Florinda Tay of Victoria Eden, Me!, PC of Simply Us, Jennifer Lim of The Love of Our Life, Little Dino Egg, Pamela Tan of Tan Family Chronicles, Amie Chen of Mamamie's Thoughts and our founder, Rachel Teo of Catch Forty Winks.

For a complete listing of our members, please refer here.

Adeline gave us all a Mother's Day gift (for being the awesome mums that we are!) and it was such a sweet surprise! Individually hand-made, and identifies each and every one of us as a proud member of SMB. For more of her gorgeous designs (they are crazy cool stuff, bespoke according to preference) do check out Adeline's Loft!

From Adeline with love! :)

Hot Bod Jen!

PC made us muffins (which BabyMoo wolfed down just before bedtime) and Dominique baked us yummy cookies! It's amazing how these busy mums are able to multi-task effectively. They have really motivated me to try to do more not only as a mother - but also a wife and a woman.

"There is no way to be a perfect mother...
but there are a million and one ways to be a good one."
- Jill Churchill

These women showed me the way... and then some.

  8. Wah!!! Well said, well said!! I like the "eclectic mix" description. It shows that age (again) and ranks at work are no barrier for us mudders to gather. :)
