Wondering if he would like to play -
Perhaps,
even a little tad wary.
He comes to her,
But she takes a moment to respond.
She assesses the situation -
And the stranger boy.
He pretends not to care...
(the way all men do!)
He walks away,
With exaggerated aplomb.
He turns back,
and takes her hand.
Don't ask where we're going,
Don't question where we've been.
Just take my hand,
and walk with me.
