BabyPlace - Review and Giveaway!

Wednesday, 12 September 2012

BabyMoo is extremely particular about the clothes he wears. He does not take too well to uncomfortable material, and neither does he like clothes which itch or feels constrictive or 'heavy'.

When he was still a wee babe, I realised that he sleeps much better when he's in comfortable pyjamas. The material has to be light, soft, and moulds to his body without making him feel 'cocooned'. No mean feat - and I've actually given away more than my fair share of PJs which have only been worn once because he didn't like it at all!

I suppose I can't complain about this particular trait, because honestly, I am also that way - as the hubba is apt to remind me when I start whining about how fussy the boy is. Currently, his Grandma sews him 100% cotton pyjamas, but I don't really like to trouble her because she already has her hands full with taking care of him in the day!

So when I received this set of pajamas from babyplace, I was rather worried that BabyMoo would not like the material, but when I showed it to the boy, he wanted to wear it immediately! I suppose the red colour and the train print is really appealing to him.

I had to wrestle the set away from him, and sent it in the wash, with a note to my Mum's helper that it should be washed separately as I was afraid that the colour might run. Seeing how the boy loves the set, she soaked it there and then, never mind that it was close to midnight.

The colour did not run... and that's already a plus point for me. Apart from that, it dried easily, and BabyMoo had new PJs to wear on that very evening itself!

He loved it... and I can totally understand. The material is soft (even after washing) and is not scratchy the way some cotton outfits can be. It's stretchable, so the snug fit is not constrictive at all. Instead, it simply skims the body, and I don't have to worry about him tripping over the extra length! I actually asked for size 4T (which fits 4 year olds) because BabyMoo outgrows his clothes too fast, and I hope that he will at least be able to wear these for quite some time!

He didn't want to take it off the next morning, and wore his red train PJs to his Grandmama's house when we dropped him off before going to work! He proudly showed it off to his cousin and grandparents, and my MIL told me that he had to be coaxed out of it before he would agree to take his morning bath!

If BabyMoo approves, it has to be really comfortable, and I promptly ordered another 4 sets for him before they were sold out! Now he's the proud owner of 5 sets of comfortable pajamas - and Mummy couldn't be happier because they fit well, wash well and comes in such happy designs. All these at a very reasonable price, too!

I had to resist ordering more - and here's why:

I love the prints... because they aren't too cutesy, and the girls' stuff aren't festooned with ribbons and frills!

    2. First thing when I look for my girl's clothes is that it's soft and comfortable for her sensitive skin. Other than that of course will see that it has "milage" and looks cute on her haha.

Would like to win 5T for her. She usually wears PJs to sleep but has a quirk that she MUST tuck the shirt inside her pants so we need to get them bigger as she moves a lot when she sleeps ;p

  8. I had liked the page. For clothes to be worn out, I look for style and comfort. For pyjamas, it has to be cheap and comfy, if it also look good, that will be best! As to why I think the pj is suitable for my kid,coz I think it fits all the criteria I had just stated. Would like to have 4T or 5T for a girl.

  12. Liked the page and would like to win 3T or 7T for one of my girls. Both my girls perspire a lot, so I will try to look for soft and not-to-thick material for their pajamas.

  13. Liked! :) The little ones love anything in pink or purple, but I help them choose soft materials which allow them to move comfortably. ;) I've got two girls too (2T and 6T), and would be happy to win one for either of them. Maybe even both? Grin.

  14. Baby D being number 4 has some hand-me-downs PJs which are actually quite worn out :( He is also my best baby so now at 12 months, he can wear 2T. Cute as a button, he deserves a set of cute n comfy PJs, right?

For his clothes, I prefer lightweight material n cute designs to match his personality ;)
