Wordless Wednesday: Fly Me to the Moon!

Wednesday, 26 September 2012

These were by far, the best tasting mooncakes I have ever had.

Mooncakes, Goodwood Park Hotel

Signature yellow box, which came in a thermal bag bearing the same design.

Blood Orange with Banana and Mao Shan Wang D24 (Durian) Snowskin Mooncakes.

Creamy and chock full of real fruits. I couldn't even cut through these without having bits of fruit sticking to the knife! Best thing is, since real fruits are used, they aren't cloyingly sweet the way
most mooncakes tend to be.

From bottom left: Cempedak Snowskin Mooncake (Orange), Blood Orange with Banana Snowskin Mooncake (Red), D24 Durian Snowskin Mooncake (Yellow) and
Mango with Pomelo Snowskin Mooncake (White)

These mooncakes should be kept in the freezer, and refrigerated after thawing. That is if you are not tempted to eat all in one sitting! My Mum, the hubba and I nearly did. BabyMoo would have loved the banana one, if he wasn't asleep when we feasted on these last night!

  3. Oh they look lovely Does that durian smell badly in a cake? The smell of the fresh fruit is really bad.
