Real Love Works!

Wednesday, 3 April 2013

What comes next after the euphoria of the proposal, wedding planning and the big day has died down?

No matter how much two people love each other, perhaps the real test of the union lie in the efforts made to keep the relationship alive. It can get very challenging when the hours in the day is filled with juggling the numerous commitments in life, and it can be all too easy to forget that our partners are people whom we should always be able to turn to in times of need, rejoice with in times of joy, and is a source of unfailing support in trying times.

It's always good to take time out to appreciate each other, strengthen the bond, and just BE together. Get the kids involved, have fun as a family, and focus on the people who matter most in our lives.

When we made our wedding vows, we promised to honour and love each other in the face of everything. We sealed the union, and from then on, life became different. When there is a reason to celebrate, we will always have someone to share our joy. When life throws unexpected curve balls, sometimes our only hope and security is in knowing that no matter what happens, they will always be a part of our lives.

Marriage Central, in support of its 'Real Love Works 2013' campaign this year, is organising a terrarium making workshop for couples. This activity encourages bonding and promotes healthy communication avenues. Make time today for a lifetime together!
